Kutin | Kindlinger work across sound, video, sculpture and information technology. The duo consequently seeks for friction & it’s potential, for psychological twists between the relations of sound – image – object, aiming to confront the consumer with uncanny perspectives. Therefore they often work with or develop technical prophesies that expand our limited human perception.
Over the last decade they have realised a wide and acclaimed range of sonic and sound-based interdisciplinary projects. They received several awards & mentions – a.o. the renowned Karl-Sczuka Award for their radiophonic composition Desert Bloom (in cooperation with Christina Kubisch), or the prize for the best sound-design at Diagonale-Filmfestival for Nikolaus Geyrhalter’s latest film Homo Sapiens.
By 2018, the Duo’s Decomposition series includes four parts and has been presented at various festoivals accross the globe.
